Youth Soccer Coach

Job Description:

Miller Place Soccer Club is currently seeking passionate coaches with a strong focus on education to coach youth soccer players between ages 2-u12. Within our organization, coaches serve as educators dedicated to optimizing learning for individual players and travel team dynamics. We are in search of individuals who appreciate teamwork, embrace our company culture, and exhibit self-drive for continuous professional and personal development.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions for youth players ages u3-u12.
  • Embrace the organization’s training methodology, fostering engaging player centered training sessions.
  • Participate in internal coaching education sessions, showcasing an interest in both professional and personal development.
  • Contribute positively to the organization’s culture by actively engaging in partnered club events.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with coached teams (or team parents) regarding match schedules, training, and events.
  • Display initiative and dedication to advancing the Royal Sporting Group’s mission of creating a positive competitive environment for all players and families.

Additional qualifications and skills that would be beneficial include:

  • Experience playing soccer at the high school or college level
  • Experience coaching at the youth or high school level
  • Experience in working with children and creating a fun and enjoyable learning environment
  • Ability to work well with others and collaborate with parents and coaches
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Youth soccer coaching experience, ideally with children in ages u2 to u12.
  • Preferred (but not required): USSF “D” or Grassroots license or United Soccer Coaches equivalent license (certain exceptions made for candidates with valuable coaching, education and/or playing experience).
